Gerald Celente is a highly respected author and forecaster. He was born in the Bronx on November 29, 1946. He developed his Globalnomic methodology to identify, track, forecast and manage trends.

Mr. Celente's worked most of his young adult life in politics. He served as director of a mayoral campaign in Yonkers, New York and as executive assistant to the secretary of the New York State Senate. Until 1979 he worked as a government affairs specialist. The political realm did not fit well with him and he loathed the work methodology and inefficiency inherent in politics.

In 1980 Mr. Celente broke away from the political arena and founded the Socio-Economic Research Institute of America, which would grow into what is known today as The Trends Research Institute, where he continues as Director.

Through The Trends Institute, Gerald Celente has successfully forecast numerous financial, economic and social trends, as well as accurately predicting terrorist strikes and consequent wars all over the world. Other diverse trends successfully forecasted by Mr. Celente were:

He is a self-described political atheist, allowing him to analyze events and make forecasts without the cumbersome ideology linked to political parties and the left/right political spectrum.
